Reportage Photography

My intention is to create for you a memorable record of your event, be it family outing, party, or any type of gathering. I take photos in a non-obtrusive manner, not posing or arranging people in a certain way.

The style I shoot in is reportage journalistic photography as you find in a magazine covering the day in the life of a family. I shoot the photographs with available light, no flash or artificial light is used.

Have you ever seen photos in a magazine that gave an intimate portrait of a celebrity family, captured by a photographer who spent intimate time with them? If so, you may have thought:  I wish I had a record of my family done in that same way.

An intimate portrait of your family, a photographic record of a day in your family’s life, can be a wonderful way to share with friends and remote family members, and also preserve the memory of precious interactions. 

This is the service I am offering. As a professional photographer, I am available to spend a day shooting mostly candid or un-posed photography that goes deeper than the typical event photography to give you a unique look at the chemistry of your family. I photograph your family in natural light, (no flash), create an artistic rendition in all the photographs, and am sensitive to the complexity of your family dynamics. I set the bar at quality photography that would be used in a national magazine. While I am part of your family for the day, I am respectful of your privacy and only shoot within pre-arranged parameters and comfort zones that you determine. 

My vision and mission: As a sensitive and intuitive person, I am able to portray your family in a positive light, regardless of the circumstances that might unfold. I see humanity from a non-judgmental point of view and believe that we are all doing the best we can with the tools, skills and circumstances we have been given.
